PC Bird (SOC) took crime scene photographs which show the victims right arm has been manipulated so that the angle with which it rests upon the body is different between both photographs. In addition, in one photograph, the victims hand is flat shaped, whilst in another it looks like Sheila had got her right hand clenched?
These pictures were taken by the police at around 10 O'clock that morning, and it becomes clear that rigor mortis had not yet set in, and because of this it can be calculated that Sheila had not been dead any longer then 4 hours prior to the time when the pictures were taken, and no less than two hours beforehand, because rigor mortis can take between two and four hours to set in and to take affect after the time of death...
The earliest time that Sheila could have died was around 6am that morning, and the latest she could have been alive was somewhere around 8 am... |
