Two different GENERAL EXAMINATION reports from the Lab' which relate to the submission of a silencer (1) on 13 August 1985, and (2) on 25 September 1985, contain information which is at odds with the alleged facts, which the police say were in existence at the time these two submissions of the silencer, were submitted to the Lab'...

The facts as stated by the police:-

13 August 1985, silencer submitted to the Lab' under the exhibit reference of SBJ/1, lab' item number 22, under Crime Reference SC/688/85...

30 August 1985, silencer submitted to the Lab' under the exhibit reference of DB/1, lab' item number 23, under Crime Reference SC/688/85....

25 August 1985, no official record that a silencer was submitted to the lab at all, under Crime Reference SC/786/85...
