I took a brief interest in the PETER CARINE case a couple of years ago, and thought at the time that his convictions were unsafe because of Customs use of an agent to help set Carine up.

The agent, as I understood it was never prosecuted..

Are we going to be provided with more information so that we can form other opinions?

Thanks, I am going to look into this case, again, since it has captured my attention as a possible miscarriage of justice.

I have a number of questions..

When the plane landed at Southend airport..

(1) who opened the doors of the plane and threw out the consignment of drugs, as it was coasting in a remote part of the runway?

(2) Did Peter and his Co - pilot try to stop this being done?

(3) Was any force used to prevent either from preventing the consignment of drugs been bundled out of the plane?

(4) At what stage did customs show up at the scene?

(5) Did Peter Carine and his co-pilot co-operate with Customs at the first available opportrunity?

(6) How many people were on the plane at the time of the incident?

(7) were any of these people armed?

I have another query..

Does there exist a record of the messages passed to customs from the informant (via telephone)?

If so, what are the contents and when were these calls made?

According to my understanding of the situation ( I need to be corrected if I am wrong) an informant was involved in this case, which involved the passing of details to customs and excise about the plan to drop packages of drugs at a remote part of Southend airport whilst the areoplane was coasting back along the runway, and that these packages would be picked up by other members of the gang in a vehicle..

--------------------------------------------------------------

OK, what happened to the other members of the gang who were supposed to be collecting the drugs that had been tossed out of the plane?

----------------------------------------------------------

Furthermore..

---------------

Why didn't customs wait until the plane returned to its gate or point of disembarkment and give the pilots an opportunity to report the matter of a passenger who had forced them to open the doors of the plane, and thrown the parcels out?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It seems to me to be pertinent that the drivers of the vehicles who were supposed to be collecting the parcels never showed up or get traced or arrested and that the pilots were never given an opportunity to report the matters spoken about in the natural manner?

----------

Furthermore, the dodgy passenger, never got charged..

---------------------------------------------------------------------

This case has all the hallmarks of a set up..

---------------------------------------------------

I am inclined to believe that Peter Carine and his relative, may be the victims of a miscarriage of justice.

Every defendant is entitled to know the case being alleged against him/her..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peter Carine was entitled to know the content of any information passed to customs by the informant..

----------------

Furthermore, he was entitled to know or be given access to interview notes involving his passenger who forced the pilots to open the door of the plane and who threw the consignment of drugs out onto the run way..

-------------------------------------------------------

Peter Carine was entitled to know the reasons why Customs and Excise did not charge the passenger with any Criminal offence

-------------------------------------------------

Additionally..

-----------------

Peter Carine was entitled to a copy of any transcript of telephone conversations, between Carine and his relative, which the prosecution intended to rely upon during the trial..

--------

If one or more of these issues were not met by the prosecuting authorities, then in my opinion, Peter Carine could not possibly have received a fair trial at all.

Every prisoner is entitled to apply to be considered for early release on parole license once six months has elapsed from the date when sentence was passed. Parole can be granted on compassionate grounds and if refused may be reapplied for every six months providing there still exist compassionate grounds for requesting an early release, as specified..

The Home Office have kept this clause a closely guarded secret to prevent everyone applying for parole every six months..

But these provisions do exist and Peter Carine could be considered for early release on parole license, on compassion grounds..

From my personal experience of this case I believe that Peter Carine was set up to take the fall that has come his way, as a result of collaboration between Customs and an Agent they used to ensure that Carine would be arrested and prosecuted for involvement in these matters for which he was an entirely innocent party..

I do not suggest that he was not there or that there was not a consignment of drugs on the plane which was chartered, but I truly believe that he did not have any knowledge of what was going down..

I believe he should be released as soon as possible..
